Kolkata Knight Riders vs Lucknow Super Giants May 7 Pune Match Report 2022

Quinton De Kock scored a magnificent 50 as the Lucknow Super Giants thumped the Kolkata Knight Riders by 75 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday.

Chasing 177, Kolkata were rocked early as Baba Indrajith departed in the first over off Mohsin Khan for a duck.

Shreyas Iyer, Aaron Finch and Nitish Rana failed to get going as the Knight Riders slumped to 25/4 in the powerplay.

Rinku Singh along with Andre Russell brought the innings back on track with a 44 run stand for the the fifth wicket before the former perished to Ravi Bishnoi for 6.

Avesh Khan then claimed back to back wickets- first by dismissing the dangerous Russell and then removing Anukul Roy, leaving them in tatters at 85/7.

Narine scored a 12 ball-22 as KKR were bundled out for 101 in 14.3 overs, losing the match by 75 runs.

With this win, Lucknow move to the top of the table.
