The BCCI has announced the squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024 on Tuesday.

India are in Group A alongside Bangladesh, Ireland, and USA. The team will be captained by Uday Saharan. The Men in Blue will start their campaign against Bangladesh in Bloemfontein on January 20.

Australia vs Pakistan MCG Boxing Day Attendance Melbourne Test 39,802 Thursday December 28 2023

Mitchell Marsh scored a fine 96 in front of 39,802 crowd as Australia took firm control at the end of Day 3 of the opening test against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Resuming at 194/6, the overnight pair of Mohammad Rizwan and Aamir Jamal added 21 more runs before the former perished to Pat Cummins.

Jamal and Shaheen Shah Afridi scored some handy runs down the order to take Pakistan to 264, with an overall lead of 54.

In response, Australia were rocked early losing first 4 wickets for 16 runs. But Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh added 153 runs for the fifth wicket stand before the latter fell to a brilliant one handed catch by Agha Salman at slips for 96.

Smith scored a valuable 50 as Australia ended Day 3 at 187/6 with an overall lead of 241.

India vs South Africa First Test Day 3 Centurion Match Report 2023

Dean Elgar scored a fantastic 185, South Africa beat India by an innings and 32 runs in the second test at Centurion on Thursday.

Resuming the day at 256/5, the overnight pair of Elgar and Marco Jansen added 104 more runs for the sixth wicket before Thakur broke the stand by dismissing the former caught down the leg side for 185.

Jansen featured in yet another crucial 31 run stand for the seventh wicket alongside Gerald Coetzee before the latter was dismissed by Ravi Ashwin for 19.

Bumrah knocked over Kagiso Rabada (1) and Nandre Burger (0) as the hosts were bowled out for 408, with an overall lead of 163 runs. Skipper Temba Bavuma could not come bat due to injury.

In response, India got off to a disastrous start as skipper Rohit Sharma (0) was once again dismissed by Kagiso Rabada for a duck.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (5) then gloved a short ball bouncer from Burger to wicket keeper behind the stumps. Shubman Gill (26) looked solid before being rattled by a full delivery from Jansen.

Shreyas Iyer inside edged a delivery from left arm pacer Jansen on to his stumps for 6.

Burger then pegged India back by claiming the important wicket of the first innings centurion caught at second slip by Markram. Ravi Ashwin fended the next delivery to gully as the visitors slumped to 96/6.

Virat Kohli looked sublime, hitting 12 fours and a six in his knock of 76. He however was the last man dismissed, caught brilliantly by Rabada as India were bundled out for 131 in 34.1 overs.
