Shreyanka Patil claimed figures of 4/14 in front of 29,717 crowd as RCB Women beat Delhi Capitals Women by 8 wickets in the final of the Women’s Premier League.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Delhi openers Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma got their side off to a fantastic start. The pair added 64 runs before the latter perished to Sophie Molineux for 44.
Molineux and Shreyanka ran through the middle and lower order as they lost their last 9 wickets for 43 to be bowled out for 113.
In response, Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine got RCB off to a steady start. The duo added 49 runs before the latter was trapped leg before wicket by Shikha Pandey for 32.
Skipper Mandhana was dismissed while trying to take on Mani for 31. However Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh saw the team through without any further alarms as RCB reached the target with 7 balls to spare.
