The ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup 2024 will now enter its next stage of the Super Six round. A total of 12 teams have qualified for the Super Six stage to begin on January 30.
The top three teams from each group in the group stages qualified for Super 6.
Groups A (India, Bangladesh, Ireland) & D (Pakistan, New Zealand and Nepal) form Group 1 in the Super 6
Group B (South Africa, England, West Indies) and Group C ( Australia, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe) form Group 2 in the Super 6.
How does the Super 6 stage work at U19 CWC 2024?
A1 plays D2 and D3, A2 plays D3 and D1 and A3 plays D1 and D2, and so on.
India (A1) will play New Zealand (D2) and Nepal (D3)
South Africa (B1) will play Sri Lanka (C2) and Zimbabwe (C3)
Why are India and Pakistan not playing each other in Super 6 stage of 2024 U19 World Cup?
A1 (India) will play D2 and D3 (NZ and Nepal).
D1 (Pakistan) will play A2 and A3 (Bangladesh and Ireland), so Ind and Pak don’t play each other in the Super 6 owing to the nature of the fixtures.
The likes of USA, Afghanistan, Namibia and Scotland failed to qualify for the Super Six.The top 2 teams from each Super 6 group will qualify for the semi final round.
