Royal Challengers Bangalore slumped to their fourth straight defeat in this year’s IPL as Rajasthan Royals opened their own account with a comfortable seven wicket win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday. The Royals only won on the penultimate delivery of the innings, but were always in control of the chase as RCB’s struggles continued.
With Sanju Samson, scorer of the first century of this year’s IPL, out injured, the Royals brought in all rounder Stuart Binny. Jaydev Unadkat paid the price for his horror last over against Chennai as he was axed for India pacer Varun Aaron. There were three changes for Bangalore, with Australian star Marcus Stoinis making his first appearance of the tournament in place of Colin de Grandhomme and Akshdeep Nath and Navdeep Saini coming in for Shivam Dube and young Prayas Ray Barman respectively.
