Here are the list of KKR players bought during the IPL Auction 2019 at Jaipur.

Despite having hard hitting Andre Russell in the squad, KKR roped in yet another all rounder in the form of West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite who was bought for a whopping Rs 5 crore.

They also added New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson who was bought for Rs. 1.6 crore.

Maharashtra wicket keeper batsman Nikhil Naik and domestic cricketer Prithviraj Yaara were bought for 20 lakhs.

During the last round of the auction, Joe Denly was purchased at his base price of Rs. 1 crore

Another clever foreign buy was that of South African pacer Anrich Nortje (Rs 20 lakh), who really lit up the opening season of the Mzansi Super League for the Cape Town Blitz before his injury midway through the tournament.

Kolkata Knight Riders have reached the playoffs or better in four of the last five IPL seasons. They have won the tournament twice, being crowned champions in 2012 & 2014 where they defeated Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab respectively.

Chennai Super Kings are one of the most successful teams in Indian Premier League. They were champions in the year 2010 and 2011.

However after serving a two year suspension CSK returned in the year 2018, and started poorly but the team bounced back superbly by winning the title against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They were runners up in the year 2012 and 2013.

Chennai weren’t too active at the auction- they bought pacer Mohit Sharma was bought for Rs 5 crore and Ruturaj Gaikwad for Rs.20 lakhs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have included West Indies left hander Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klassen, Gurkeerat Singh, Himmat Singh and Prayas Ray Barman

The players who have been released are Quinton de Kock, Mandeep Singh, Chris Woakes, Sarfraz Khan, Brendon McCullum and Corey Anderson.

Shivam Dube, the Mumbai all rounder who hit five consecutive sixes, in a Ranji Trophy game against Baroda was bought for 5 crore.

In the previous edition Royal Challengers Bangalore finished in sixth position.

Mumbai Indians have bought Lasith Malinga, Anmolpreet Singh, Barinder Sran, Pankaj Jaiswal , Rasikh Salam and Yuvraj Singh . They also purchased Quinton de Kock from RCB before the auction.

They were crowned champions in 2013, 2015 and 2017. Saurabh Tiwary, Pradeep Sangwan, Mohsin Khan, MD Nidheesh, Sharad Lumba, Tajinder Singh Dhillon, JP Duminy, Pat Cummins, Mustafizur Rahman, Akila Dananjaya are the players that have been released.

Varun Chakravarthy, who is a mystery spinner from Tamil Nadu, was roped in for a whopping 8.4 crore. He was the highest wicket-taker in the group stages of Vijay Hazare trophy which was held in October.

Prabhsimran Singh was bought for massive 4.8 crore. He also played a brilliant knock of 298 runs against Amritsar in an U- 23 District cricket tournament.
