India T20I Squad for West Indies Series Announced- Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma earn maiden call-ups

The BCCI has announced the India’s squad for the five T20 International scheduled to begin on August .

The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma have earned their maiden call up following their impressive performance in IPL. Mukesh Kumar who was named in the Test and ODI squad, is also part of the T20I set up.

The team will be lead by all rounder Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav has been named as his deputy. The likes of leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan also return to the squad.

Ishan Kishan (wk), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (vice-capt), Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya (capt), Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan & Mukesh Kumar.

Here are the list of fixtures of India for the World Cup 2023 scheduled to be held in India in October- November.

The Men in Blue will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8. That will be followed by the marquee clash Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15.

India are in Group A alongside Australia, England, Pakistan and South Africa.

These are the new Adidas ICT shirts 2023/24, the new ODI, Test and T20 international kits for the Indian national cricket team. The new India Adidas jerseys were officially unveiled on June 1, 2023 and will be worn by the country at the upcoming WTC final in England as well as in the ODI World Cup later this year.

India vs Australia WTC Final Day 5 Oval Match Report 2023

Nathan Lyon claimed figures of 4/24 as Australia thumped India by 209 runs to win the ICC World Test Championship Final 2023 at Oval on Sunday.

Resuming at 164/3, the overnight pair of Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane added 15 more runs before Scott Boland struck twice- first by dismissing Kohli (49) slashing at a wide delivery outside off stumps to Steve Smith who took a fantastic catch at second slip, and then dismissing Ravindra Jadeja caught behind the stumps for a duck.

Rahane along with Srikar Bharat steadied the ship with a 33 run stand for the sixth wicket before the former perished to Mitchell Starc for 46.

Shardul Thakur (0) was trapped lbw by Nathan Lyon for a duck. Umesh Yadav (1) was then dismissed by a brutal bouncer from Starc.

Nathan Lyon wrapped up the innings when Mohammed Siraj (1) reverse-swept Lyon straight to Boland at backward point, as India were bowled out for 234, giving Australia a massive 209 run win.
