SRH vs CSK 2024 Attendance 35,992 Uppal Hyderabad Stadium April 5
An official crowd of 35,992, most in the yellow of Chennai rather than the orange of the home team, saw Sunrisers Hyderabad continue their strong start to the new season as they beat CSK by six wickets.
CSK struggled at the backend of their innings, with only Shivam Dube giving the innings any real impetus. They scored 50 odd in the last seven overs.

The target could’ve been tricky for SRH, but they raced away in the powerplay, knowing that the ball would become slower and scoring would be tougher in the end stages. They made 78 in their first 6, and that allowed them to comfortably stroll home despite CSK’s spinners putting the brakes in the second half of the chase. Riyan Parag scored a magnificent unbeaten 83 as Rajasthan Royals defeated Delhi Capitals by 12 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday.
After being asked to bat first, Rajasthan suffered an massive blow by losing Yashasvi Jaiswal bowled by Mukesh Kumar for 5. Skipper Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler departed cheaply as the Royals were in spot of bother at 36/3.
However Parag along with Ravi Ashwin featured in a 54 run stand for the fourth wicket before the latter perished to Axar Patel for 29.
Riyan Parag (84)* in the end smashed Nortje for 26 runs in his final over to take RR to 185/5 in their 20 overs.
In response, Delhi openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh got their side off to a steady start. The duo added 30 runs for the opening stand before Nandre Burger struck twice- first by cleaning up Mitchell Marsh (23) and then dismissing Ricky Bhui with a bouncer for a duck.
The pair of Warner and skipper Rishabh Pant added 67 runs for the third wicket stand before the former fell to a brilliant catch by Sandeep Sharma off Avesh Khan for 49.
Yuzvendra Chahal then struck a body blow by claiming the prize scalp of skipper Pant caught behind while attempting a cut.
Tristan Stubbs (44)* fought hard in the end but failed to take Capitals past the finishing line as they ended up with 173/5, thereby falling 12 run short of the target.

Heinrich Klaasen scored a superb unbeaten 80 as Sunrisers beat Mumbai by 31 runs in front of a 35,080 crowd at the Rajiv Gandhi International (Uppal) Stadium on Wednesday. The official attendance figure was shown on television during the live telecast of the game.
SRH also broke the record for the highest team total in IPL history- their 277 bettered the previous record of 263 set by RCB.
After being sent into bat, Travis Head‘s explosive 62, along with fine contributions from Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23), Aiden Markram (42 off 28), and Klaasen (80 off 34), powered SRH to a mammoth 277/3 in their 20 overs.
