SRH vs MI Attendance 35,080 2024 Hyderabad March 27 Uppal Stadium

Heinrich Klaasen scored a superb unbeaten 80 as Sunrisers beat Mumbai by 31 runs in front of a 35,080 crowd at the Rajiv Gandhi International (Uppal) Stadium on Wednesday. The official attendance figure was shown on television during the live telecast of the game.

SRH also broke the record for the highest team total in IPL history- their 277 bettered the previous record of 263 set by RCB.

After being sent into bat, Travis Head‘s explosive 62, along with fine contributions from Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23), Aiden Markram (42 off 28), and Klaasen (80 off 34), powered SRH to a mammoth 277/3 in their 20 overs.

For comparison, MI’s game vs Gujarat Titans over the weekend in Ahmedabad got a 80,081 strong crowd, while Chennai had a 33,092 attendance for their fixture against GT yesterday at Chepauk.

In response, Mumbai were 165/3 in 12 overs at one stage and that point, were well placed to cause a massive upset. However, some astute captaincy from Pat Cummins and pace off the ball from Bhuvi and Jaydev Unadkat halted MI’s momentum, and despite Tim David’s best efforts at the end, they eventually fell 30 odd short.
