SRH vs CSK 2024 Attendance 35,992 Uppal Hyderabad Stadium April 5

An official crowd of 35,992, most in the yellow of Chennai rather than the orange of the home team, saw Sunrisers Hyderabad continue their strong start to the new season as they beat CSK by six wickets.

CSK struggled at the backend of their innings, with only Shivam Dube giving the innings any real impetus. They scored 50 odd in the last seven overs.

The target could’ve been tricky for SRH, but they raced away in the powerplay, knowing that the ball would become slower and scoring would be tougher in the end stages. They made 78 in their first 6, and that allowed them to comfortably stroll home despite CSK’s spinners putting the brakes in the second half of the chase.

Abhishek Sharma was excellent in the powerplay while Aiden Markram controlled the middle stages. On debut, Nitish Reddy ensured there’d be no nervy finish and he hit a six off Deepak Chahar to take SRH home.
