Afghanistan have named their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, scheduled to be held in Australia on October 16.
The team will be captained by Mohammad Nabi with Najibullah Zadran being his deputy.
The likes of Afsar Zazai, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Rahmat Shah, and Gulbadin Naib have been named as reserve players.
Nabi’s men are placed in Group 1 along with defending champions Australia, New Zealand, England and the two qualifiers.
The likes of Samiullah Shinwari, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Afsar Zazai, Karim Janat and Noor Ahmad have been excluded from the squad.
