Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants May 10 Pune Match Report 2022

Shubman Gill scored a fine unbeaten 63 as Gujarat Titans became the first team to book their place in the play offs by defeating the Lucknow Super Giants by 62 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Tuesday.

Skipper Hardik Pandya perished for 11, edging a short-and-wide delivery from Avesh to De Kock behind the stumps.

The pair of David Miller and Rahul Tewatia featured in a 52 run stand for the third wicket before the former slashed at a short-and-wide delivery to Ayush Badoni at deep third man for a 24 ball-26.

In the end Tewatia smashed Jason Holder for three successive fours in the final over to take Gujarat to a competitive score of 144/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Lucknow, Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/26.

Chasing 145, Yash Dayal struck early by sending back Quinton de Kock (11) caught at cover point by Sai Kishore.

KL Rahul then top edged a short delivery from Mohammed Shami to Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps.

Dayal claimed his second wicket by dismissing debutant Karan Sharma (8),caught at short third man by David Miller.

Rashid Khan struck by dismissing Krunal Pandya stumped with a googly. The likes of Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder failed to get going, as Lucknow slumped to 67/7.

Afghanistan star leg spinner Rashid picked the last wicket by dismissing Avesh Khan, as LSG were routed for 82 runs in 13.5 overs.
