Scott Boland claimed 6/7 as Australia beat England by 14 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday.
Resuming at a overnight score of 31/4, Ben Stokes was cleaned up by Mitchell Starc for 11. Boland then got into the act by dismissing both Jonny Bairstow (5) and skipper Joe Root (28) in succession leaving the visitors reeling at 61/7.
Mark Wood hit one straight back to the bowler to give the debutant Boland a maiden five-wicket haul.
A couple of deliveries later, Ollie Robinson (0) edged a Boland delivery to Labuschagne at third slip as the visitors were bundled out for 68 in their second innings, giving the hosts a victory by an innings and 14 runs.
Scott Boland was declared the Man of the Match for his impressive figures of 6/7.
The fourth test between Australia and England will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 5.
