They were in sixth place in IPL 2020. Kings XI Punjab have changed their team’s name to Punjab Kings ahead of the forthcoming IPL 2021.

Punjab Kings added South African batsman Aiden Markram as replacement for Dawid Malan for the remainder of the tournament on Saturday.
Punjab Kings have signed in Australia quick Nathan Ellis for the second half of IPL 2021. The Kings confirmed the signing on Friday night.
