Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad 29 September Match Report 2020

Star spinner Rashid Khan finished with figures of 3 for 14, as Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their first win by defeating Delhi Capitals by 15 runs at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

After being sent into bat by DC skipper, SRH opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow laid the perfect foundation at the top with a 77-run stand, before Amit Mishra broke through by sending back the dangerous looking Warner for 45, and in the 12th over dismissed the in form Manish Pandey for 3.

Kane Williamson playing his first match of the season made a quickfire 41 off 26 balls, as Sunrisers posted a competitive score of 162 at the end of their allotted 20 overs. Bairstow played second fiddle by scoring 53.

Kagiso Rabada and Amit Mishra picked two wickets each for Delhi.

Chasing 163, Delhi Capitals lost young Prithvi Shaw in the very first over to Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 2.

Shreyas Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan anchored the innings with a 40 run stand for the second wicket, before Rashid Khan dismissed both Iyer and Dhawan in the middle overs for 17 & 34 respectively.


Shimron Hetmyer and Pant added 42 runs for the fourth wicket, before the West Indian left hander was caught by Manish off Bhuvneshwar in the 16th over.

Pant and Marcus Stoinis’ departures sealed the match for the Hyderabad, as they defeated the Delhi Capitals by 15 runs in Abu Dhabi.

For Sunrisers Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/14, while Bhuvneshwar claimed 2 wickets. Khaleel Ahmed, Natarajan and Abhishek got a wicket apiece.
