Here are the crowd figures for games played in the Mzansi Super League (MSL) for 2018 in South Africa. The MSL is South Africa’s version of the IPL/BBL/CPL/BPL/PSL and 2018 is it’s inaugural season- tournament began on 16 November, 2018.
Please note that crowd figures for South Africa are often hard to obtain, unlike the BBL or T20 Blast. If you have an official source for a crowd figure that’s not listed here, please leave a comment or get in touch via e-mail.
Figures last updated after Jozi Stars v CT Blitz game on November 24, 2018.

Nelson Mandela Bay Giants v Tshwane Spartans Attendance
Those are very, very poor attendance numbers.
I thought we’d be seeing better in South Africa, especially at Newlands, but all of these crowd stats are below 10K, which is very disappointing for prime time T20 cricket.
Newlands does far better when the Stormers play Super Rugby. Disappointing crowds for the first edition of a T20 cricket league. One BBL game at the MCG might be equal to 2/3 of the crowd for the whole of this Mzansi Super League.
