England Women Test Squad for Ashes vs Australia June- July 2023

England Women have named their 15 members squad for the upcoming Ashes Test match against Australia at Trent Bridge beginning later this month.

The team will be captained by Heather Knight with Natalie Sciver-Brunt being named her deputy. The likes of Danielle Gibson and Lauren Filer received their maiden test call up.

The series features one test, three T20 internationals and three ODIs.

The one off test will be played from June 22-26. The three T20 internationals will be played between 1-8 July, while the three ODI’s will take place from July 12-18 respectively.

India vs Australia WTC Final Day 5 Oval Match Report 2023

Nathan Lyon claimed figures of 4/24 as Australia thumped India by 209 runs to win the ICC World Test Championship Final 2023 at Oval on Sunday.

Resuming at 164/3, the overnight pair of Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane added 15 more runs before Scott Boland struck twice- first by dismissing Kohli (49) slashing at a wide delivery outside off stumps to Steve Smith who took a fantastic catch at second slip, and then dismissing Ravindra Jadeja caught behind the stumps for a duck.

Rahane along with Srikar Bharat steadied the ship with a 33 run stand for the sixth wicket before the former perished to Mitchell Starc for 46.

Shardul Thakur (0) was trapped lbw by Nathan Lyon for a duck. Umesh Yadav (1) was then dismissed by a brutal bouncer from Starc.

Nathan Lyon wrapped up the innings when Mohammed Siraj (1) reverse-swept Lyon straight to Boland at backward point, as India were bowled out for 234, giving Australia a massive 209 run win.

Australia 469 (Head 163, Smith 121, Siraj 4-108) and 270 for 8 dec (Carey 66, Jadeja 3-58) beat India 296 (Rahane 89, Thakur 51, Cummins 3-83) and 234 (Kohli 49, Lyon 3-41, Boland 3-46) by 209 runs
