Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer scored fantastic half centuries to take India to 314 at the end of Day 2 of the second test in Mirpur on Friday.
Resuming at an overnight score of 19/0, the visitors lost KL Rahul (10) and Shubman Gill (20) leg before wicket to left arm spinner Taijul Islam.
The pair of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli added 34 runs for the third wicket before the former fell to a fine low catch at short leg by Mominul Haque for 24.
Taskin Ahmed then got into the act by dismissing Kohli caught behind by wicket-keeper Nurul Hasan leaving their side in a spot of bother at 94/4.
Pant along with Iyer brought the innings back on track with a fifth wicket stand of 159 runs before the former nicked one to keeper off Mehidy for a fine 93.
However Shakib Al Hasan ran through the visitors lower order by claiming the last 6 wickets for 61 runs as they were bowled out for 314, with an overall lead of 87.
For Bangladesh, Taijul and Shakib claimed 4 wickets each.
At the end of Day 2, the hosts finished at 7/0 after six overs.
