Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings May 1 MCA Stadium Pune Match Report 2022

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway scored sparkling half centuries as the Chennai Super Kings defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Sunday.

Chasing 203, Sunrisers pair of Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson got their side off to a quickfire start. The duo added 58 runs for the first wicket before Mukesh Choudhary struck twice- first by dismissing the dangerous left hander Abhishek and then removing Rahul Tripathi for a golden duck.

However the South African star right hander perished immediately, pulling an half tracker to Ravindra Jadeja at wide long on for 17.

Dwaine Pretorius then struck a body blow by dismissing Williamson for a 37 ball- 47, to reduce Sunrisers to 126/4.

Nicholas Pooran who was let off twice, smashed an unbeaten 64 off just 33 balls, but failed to take his side past the finishing line as they ended up with 189/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Mukesh Choudhary was the pick of the bowlers for CSK with figures of 4/46.

Ruturaj Gaikwad was adjudged the Player of the Match for his magnificent knock.
