5 Stunning Cricket Shots ever Played in Cricket
They say, a good batsman will have more than one shot for every ball bowled to him.
I believe, mastering multiple cricketing shots will make a batsman what he is.
Looking at the careers of few legendary cricket batsmen, they have made few cricketing shots their own, by mastering them to perfection.
Here I have compiled a list of 5 Cricketing shots that made these cricketers the legend they are.
To start with a killer of a shot, here’s
1. Virat Kohli’s magical cover drive!

Virat played a heck of a cover drive in the match against Sri Lanka in CB Series in Australia.
It was a do-or-die situation for India when they faced Sri Lanka in the 11th match of the Commonwealth Bank Series 2012 at Hobart.
The master cover-drive arrived when he was at 17 and it is one of the best cover-drives you will ever find in the game. And that shot of a beautiful Cover-drive set the tone for that legendary innings.
The Commentator there went awe after witnessing that strike. His words I remember were,
That’s the Stroke. That’s as good as Anything, Anybody, Anytime…
2. Sachin Tendulkar’s Godly Straight Drive!

The Name Sachin means a lot in Cricket; so are his Cricketing Shots.
And one of the astonishing Cricket Shot he used to play is the Straight Drive.
This Picture perfect Straight Drive of Sachin is capable of pulling off the confidence from the bowler of any class.
3.Brian Lara’s Intentional Late Cut

Brian Lara is one legend of a player, who is known for all his stylish cricket shots.
One of my favorite is his late cut, which is masterly played with intention.
His extraordinary ability to find the gaps in the field had been the source of this shot as he plays them very lately too.
While not possessing a classic technique, Lara’s balance and quick feet enabled him to get into position to hit even good balls to the ropes with the shots like this.
4. Sanath Jayasuriya’s Destroyer leg flick!

This is a shot of celebration.
Sanath Jayasuriya, one of the dangerous batsmen in ODI Cricket of his times, had this habit of destroying every delivery that was bowled to his legs.
Jayasuriya used to play this flick mostly during the early Power-play overs, which had been a serious problem for any opposition captain.
Jayasuriya’s innings of 189, against India, is even now the highest individual ODI score by any Sri Lankan Batsmen. And that innings was powered by few flicks down the leg side.
5. AB de Villiers’ unnamed cricket Shot!
Name this shot – An Open challenge for you guys.

Recently retired from International Cricket, AB de Villiers has been an inventor of innovative Cricketing shots in bulk.
Rightly called as the Mr.360, he got the ability to hit the balls to every corner of the Ground.
He always has more than 2 shots for every delivery; also for every format.
And that is why he is a player for every format. He is one of the only 3 Players who have got 50+ Average in both ODIs & Test Cricket.
