Ahead of the fifth and final test on Friday, here is a look at Team India’s record for test matches played at the Oval. India will be looking to salvage some pride- they’re already 3-1 down in the series. This test will also be Alastair Cook’s final game for England.

How many tests have India won at the Oval?

India have won only once- that famous win in 1971 which marked their first test as well as series win on English soil. Bhagwath Chandrasekhar took a famous six wicket haul in England’s second innings.

Three of England’s four wins over India at this venue have been innings victories, with the fourth being a comfortable 9 wicket win.
