South Africa wicket keeper Heinrich Klaasen who made his ODI debut in the series against India, has replaced banned Steve Smith in the Rajasthan Royals side for the Indian Premier League 2018.
Smith was barred from IPL 2018, following his role in the ball tampering saga which took place against South Africa at Capetown.
The 26-year old was included as a replacement for Quinton de Kock was successful in the limited over series against India.
Klassen has has played four one dayers and three T-20 internationals for South Africa against India.
In the Pink one dayer in Johannesburg, he slammed 43 runs off 27 balls, which helped them come triumph against India.
His major contribution came in the T-20’s, where he smashed a quickfire 69 runs of 40 balls, that helped the Proteas chase down 189 runs.
