Rodney Marsh resigns as chairman of national selectors.

Rodney Marsh the selector of the Australian Cricket team has resigned  due to the team’s horrendous show against South Africa.  Marsh and his fellow selectors Trevor Hohns and Mark Waugh met in Hobart following the team’s innings defeat against South Africa. He mentioned that he needed fresh thinking and also some new faces, to build the future. Marsh also played a vital role in guiding Australia in top positions both in test and one dayer’s and also  winning the World Cup in 2015. His contract was due to expire in June, but there was immense pressure on him to quit following the South Africa debacle. . He thanked the coach and the fellow selectors for their support and honesty over the past two and half years.

His team lost badly away from home to Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka,before the current result against South Africa  was the final nail in the coffin that forced his exit.
