Liam Livingstone’s sparkling knock of 60 went in vain as the Punjab Kings lost to the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.

After being asked to bat first by SRH skipper, Punjab lost stand in skipper Shikhar Dhawan (8) early, as he miscued a Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivery to Marco Jansen at mid on.

Prabhsimran Singh who came in place of Mayank Agarwal fell cheaply to T Natarajan for 14. Jonny Bairstow’s (12) bad run with the bat poor run continued, as he missed a sweep against Jagadeesha Suchith and was trapped leg before wicket.

Jitesh Sharma (11) after scoring couple of crisp boundaries, top edged a short ball from Umran Malik who took an easy return catch.

The pair of Liam Livingstone along with Shahrukh Khan featured in a 71 run stand for the fifth wicket before the latter skied one to Williamson at covers off Kumar for 26.

The England all-rounder Livingstone scored a belligerent 33 ball-60 before perishing to Bhuvneshwar. His knock comprised off 9 fours and 4 sixes.

The 23 year old young Umran Malik picked up 3 wickets in the final over including a a run out, as Punjab were skittled out for 151 in 20 overs.
