Mukesh Kumar claimed figures of 3/14 as Delhi Capitals thumped Gujarat Titans by 6 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
After being asked to bat first by DC skipper, GT were rocked early as Shubman Gill (8) chipped a catch to Prithvi Shaw at covers off Ishant Sharma in the second over.
Wriddhiman Saha (2) then chopped a delivery from Mukesh Kumar on to his stumps. Sai Sudarshan (12) then was run out by a brilliant direct hit from Sumit Kumar.
In the same over, David Miller fell to a brilliant catch by wicket keeper Rishabh Pant off Ishant Sharma for 2. Tristan Stubbs then claimed wickets of Abhinav Manohar and M Shahrukh Khan as Titans slumped to 48/6.
However Rashid Khan scored a defiant 31 to take his team close to three figure mark. He however eventually fell to Mukesh Kumar while trying to upper cut, as the Titans were eventually bowled out for 89 in 17.3 overs.
Chasing 90, Jake Fraser McGurk got Delhi off to a brisky start by scoring a 10 ball-20, before perishing to Spencer Johnson straight to Abhinav Manohar at midwicket.
Sandeep Warrier then got into the act by dismissing Prithvi Shaw (7) with a brilliant short delivery to Johnson at short third man. The pair of Abishek Porel and Shai Hope added 34 runs for the third wicket stand before the former was knocked over by Sandeep Warrier for a 7 ball-15.
Hope then fell to Rashid Khan, while attempting a reverse sweep to Ishant Sharma at short third man for 19. Rishabh Pant (16)* and Sumit Kumar (9)* ensured that there were no further hiccups as Delhi Capitals reached the target in just 8.5 overs.
