Jasprit Bumrah claimed figures of 6/61 as India levelled the two match series by beating South Africa by 7 wickets in Cape Town on Thursday.

Resuming at 62/3, Bumrah got India off to a perfect start by dismissing David Bedingham caught behind the stumps for 11. Kyle Verreynne then skied a catch to Mohammed Siraj at mid on while attempting a pull.

However Siraj finally broke the stand by dismissing South Africa opener Markram caught at long off for a magnificent 106. Prasidh then claimed the wicket of Kagiso Rabada for 2.

Bumrah then polished off the innings by dismissing Lungi Ngidi as the hosts were bowled out for 176 , with an overall lead of 78.

Chasing 79, Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Rohit Sharma got India off to a quickfire start. The pair added 44 runs before the former was caught at deep-backward square leg by Tristan Stubbs off Nandre Burger for 28.

Shubman Gill was bowled by Rabada with the one that kept low. Virat Kohli then gloved a delivery from Jansen down the leg side behind the stumps.

Shreyas Iyer then hit the winning runs to take the visitors to a seven wicket win.
