Rashid Khan claimed figures of 3/14 as Gujarat Titans thumped the Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, RR were rocked early as Jos Buttler (8) slashed a delivery from Hardik Pandya to Sharma at short third man.
The pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Sanju Samson added 36 runs for the second wicket stand before the former was run out following a mix up with Samson for 14.
RR skipper Samson fell for 30, top edging a flick off Josh Little to Hardik Pandya. Ravi Ashwin who was promoted up the order was knocked over by Rashid Khan for 2.
Impact player Riyan Parag (4) was then trapped leg before wicket by a googly from Rashid.
Noor Ahmad then got into the act by dismissing Devdutt Padikkal (12) and then trapping Dhruv Jurel (9) leg before wicket as RR slumped to 96/8.
Trent Boult (15) scored some handy runs down the order before being cleaned up by a brilliant yorker from Mohammad Shami. Adam Zampa (7) was run out by a brilliant direct hit from Abhinav Manohar as the Royals were bundled out for 118 in 17.5 overs.
Star Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/14.
Chasing 119, openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill got Gujarat off to a flying start. The duo added 71 runs for the opening stand before Yuzvendra Chahal broke the stand by dismissing the latter stumped for 36.
Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya came in and smashed Adam Zampa for 22 runs in the 11th over. Saha remained unbeaten on 41 off 34 balls, as Gujarat raced to the target in just 13.5 overs.
