Resuming at overnight score of 83/1, Ecclestone in the third over provided the vital breakthrough by claiming the prize scalp of Shafali Verma. The 17 year old fell to a outstanding catch at long on by Katherine Brunt for a well made 63.
The pair of Deepti Sharma and Punam Raut added 72 runs for the third wicket stand before the former was bowled for 54.
Skipper Mithali Raj (4), Punam Raut (39), Pooja Vastrakar (12), and Harmanpreet Kaur (8) fell in quick succession leaving them in deep trouble at 199/7.
