India vs Australia Second Test Melbourne Day 4 Match Report 2020

Team India produced a brilliant comeback to defeat Australia by 8 wickets and level the series 1-1 at Melbourne on Tuesday.

Resuming at 133/6, the pair of Pat Cummins and Cameron Green added another 23 runs before the former was caught at second slip by Mayank Agarwal off Jasprit Bumrah.

Cameron Green after scoring a solid 45 was caught at mid wicket off Mohammed Siraj.

Siraj and Ravichandran Ashwin wrapped up the tail, as Australia were bundled out for 200, with a lead of 69 runs.

Mohammed Siraj was India’s best bowler with figures of 3/37, while Bumrah, Ashwin and Ravi Jadeja claimed 2 wickets each.

Chasing 70, India lost Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara to Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins respectively.

Agarwal edged a Mitchell Starc delivery to wicket keeper Tim Paine while Pujara was caught at gully by Cameron Green off Cummins.

The duo of Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane added an unbeaten 51 run stand for the third wicket, as India reached the target of 70 in 15.5 overs.

Gill remained unbeaten on 35, while Rahane was not out on 27.

Skipper Rahane was declared the Player of the Match.

The third test between India and Australia is scheduled to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on January 7.
