This is the new Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2022 shirt, the uniform that SL will be wearing at the upcoming Asia Cup T20 tournament. The Lankans were originally supposed to host the event, but economic issues back home forced a change in venue to the United Arab Emirates. They have Afghanistan and Bangladesh in their group.

One can also see a lion plus the colours of the Lankan national flag on the front of the jersey, which has Fairplay News as its shirt sponsor.

Full List of Asia Cup Squads 2022

Here are the list of players and teams who will be featuring in the upcoming edition of The Asia Cup beginning this month.

The total of six teams will featuring in this event. Group A features India. Pakistan and Hongkong, while Group B consists Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh respectively.

Group A

India:

Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the ongoing Asia Cup due to knee injury and will be replaced by Axar Patel.

Avesh Khan has been ruled out of the Asia Cup due to illness and will be replaced by Deepak Chahar

Pakistan speedster Wasim Jr has been ruled out due to back injury and will be replaced by Hasan Ali.

List of Asia Cup Fixtures 2022

The schedule of the 15th edition of the multi-team tournament has been announced, with Sri Lanka locking horns with Afghanistan in the opening fixture on August 27.

The event which was supposed to be held in Sri Lanka has been shifted to United Arab Emirates. The final will be played on September 11.

India and Pakistan will face each other on 28 August in Dubai, while Bangladesh will begin their campaign against Afghanistan on August 30 in Sharjah.
