Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin shared seven wickets between them, as India gained the upper hand at the end of Day 1 of the fourth test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

England made two changes in the playing XI by playing Dan Lawrence and Dom Bess in place of Stuart Broad and Jofra Archer. On the other hand India included Mohammed Siraj in place of Jasprit Bumrah who had gone home.

Left arm spinner Axar Patel claimed six wickets as India gained the upper hand at the end of Day 1 of the third D/N test against England at Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

The home side made 2 changes by including Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah in place of Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav, while the visitors brought in James Anderson, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow and Zak Crawley for Burns, Lawrence, Stone and Moeen Ali.
