England vs Netherlands Pune Attendance 9217 Cricket World Cup 2023 Gahunje Stadium

Ben Stokes scored a fluent 108 in front of a 9,217 strong crowd as England beat Netherlands by 160 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Wednesday. The result took the defending champions off the bottom of the table, and into 7th, boosting their Champions Trophy qualification hopes.

The turnout was not as good as the 31,940 for South Africa New Zealand at this very venue a week ago, but still a decent crowd for a weekday game involving two teams not really in the running for the semifinals.

England vs Australia Attendance 55,052 Ahmedabad Cricket World Cup 2023 Motera Narendra Modi Stadium

An excellent crowd of 55,052 was in attendance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as Australia beat England by 33 runs on Saturday, also eliminating them from the World Cup in the process. The number was bigger than the turnout for the opening game (47,518) of the tournament between England and New Zealand at this very venue a month ago.

Adam Zampa was instrumental in Australia’s win- his quickfire 19-ball-29 helped them reach 286, his three wickets (including the key ones of Stokes and Ali) halted England just as they were threatening to take the game away, and he took an excellent late catch to end David Willey’s cameo with the bat.

India vs England Lucknow 2023 Attendance 46,000 Ekana Cricket Stadium Match Report 2023

England vs Afghanistan Attendance 26,440 World Cup 2023 Kotla Delhi Arun Jaitley Stadium

A very good crowd of 26,440 was in attendance at the Kotla (Arun Jaitley Stadium) in Delhi as Afghanistan produced a massive upset by beating defending champions England.

Afghanistan were put in by England skipper Jos Buttler and got off to a fine start courtesy Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 57-ball-80. Gurbaz was however run out in a mix-up with captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, and Afghanistan eventually managed 284, far lesser than the 300-350 they were threatening to get when Gurbaz was at the crease.

India had chased down a similar score at the same venue against Afghanistan with plenty to spare a few days ago, but England, Harry Brook aside, struggled to cope with Afghanistan’s spinners and lost wickets at regular intervals.

They eventually fell 69 short with Nabi, Mujeeb and Rashid taking 8 wickets between them.

England vs New Zealand Ahmedabad Attendance 47,518 2023 Cricket World Cup First Match Crowd Motera

A very good official crowd of 47,518 was registered at the Narendra Modi Stadium (Motera) in Ahmedabad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup opener between England and New Zealand. The crowd was thin at the beginning (the stadium has a capacity of over 100,000) but it improved as the evening progressed, with cooler temperatures in the night for spectators.

Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra both scored fine hundreds as the Black Caps gained a modicum of revenge for their 2019 final loss by thumping England by 9 wickets.

After being asked to bat first, England made 282/9 in their allotted 50 overs- it was the first time in World Cup history that all eleven batsmen of the same team got into double digits. However wickets fell at regular intervals, and England weren’t quite able to have set batsmen take on New Zealand’s fourth and fifth bowlers (Ravindra, Phillips and Neesham). New Cricket World Cup Jerseys 2023 | All ODI CWC Kits

Here are the kits that will be worn by the 10 teams that will be featuring in the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023 starting next month.
