Gautam Gambhir appointed as India Men’s Head Coach

The BCCI has announced Gautam Gambhir as the new head of the coach of the Indian Cricket Team.

The left hander will replace Rahul Dravid, whose contract ended with The Men in Blue T20 World Cup triumph on June 29. Gambhir’s contract will be till December 31, 2027.

His first major assignment will be the white ball series against Sri Lanka. The tour comprises off 3 ODIs & 3 T20Is beginning 27 July.

Gambhir also led his IPL franchise, the Kolkata Knight Riders to two title victories in the year 2012 and 2014. In 2024, he played the role as mentor for the Knight Riders and guided them to their third IPL title.
