Ellyse Perry produced a brilliant all round performance as Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians Women by 7 wickets in front of a 22,834 crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium (Kotla) in Delhi on Tuesday.The official attendance figure of 22,834 was shown on live television shortly after the 6th over of the RCB chase.
After being asked to bat first, MI openers Hayley Matthews and Sajeevan Sajana got their side off to solid start. The pair added 43 runs before the former perished to Sophie Devine for 26.
Perry then rocked the middle and lower order of RCB by claiming figures of 6/15 as MI were bowled out for 113 in 19 overs.
In response, RCB lost Sophie Molineux , Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine with the score on 39. However Perry along with Richa Ghosh added an unbeaten 76 runs for the fourth wicket stand to take their side to a comfortable 7 wicket win.
