Kavem Hodge and Joshua Da Silva slammed fine half centuries as West Indies in front of 23,602 crowd ended Day 1 of the second test in Brisbane at 266/8.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, West Indies lost half their side for 64 runs, but a fantastic stand of 149 from Kavem Hodge and Joshua Da Silva bailed the visitors out of trouble as they reached 266/8 at the end of opening day.
