The BCCI has announced the 17 man squad for the upcoming Asia Cup scheduled to begin on 30 August.
The team will be captained by Rahit Sharma and have the likes of Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan in their line ups.
The Men in Blue are in Group A alongside Pakistan and Nepal. The likes of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer return to the set up after the long lay off.
Tilak Varma receives a maiden one day following his impressive T20 performance against West Indies. The pace attack comprises off star spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Shami respectively.
Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Jadeja will be leading the spin attack. Sanju Samson has been included in the team as a back up wicket keeper.
India will start their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 at the Pallekele International Stadium.
