Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Game 69 May 21 Mumbai Match Report 2023

Cameron Green scored a blazing hundred as Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

After being asked to bat first, SRH openers Mayanak Agarwal and debutant Vivrant Sharma got their side off to a magnificent start. The duo added 140 runs for the opening stand before the latter miscued a pull off Akash Madhwal to substitute fielder Ramandeep Singh at deep midwicket for 69.

Agarwal after scoring a fantastic 46 ball-83 was dismissed by Madhwal, top edging a pull to Ishan Kishan behind the stumps.

Sunrisers lost a bit of momentum as Glenn Phillips, Heinrich Klaasen and Harry Brook perished in trying to up the scoring rate.

Skipper Aiden Markram (13*) scored a maximum in the final delivery off Chris Jordan to take SRH to 200/5 in their 20 overs.

Chasing 201, Bhuvneshwar Kumar drew first blood by sending back Ishan Kishan caught brilliantly by a diving Harry Brook at mid wicket for 14.

Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav added 128 runs for the second wicket stand before the former fell to a superb catch by Nitish Kumar Reddy off Mayank Dagar for 56.

Suryakumar Yadav (25*) along with Green took Umran Malik for 20 runs in the 16th over to bring down the equation from 41 off 30 to 21 off 24. The pair added an unbeaten 53 run stand for the third wicket.

The Australian all rounder brought up his maiden hundred with a single off Bhuvneshwar to give Mumbai a thrilling 8 wicket win.
