India Test Squad for WTC Final- ICC World Test Championship Final 2023 | Ajinkya Rahane Returns

The BCCI has named a 15 member squad for the World Test Championship final against Australia to be played at The Oval in England from June 7.

Ajinkya Rahane returns to the test squad after 15 months. He has also be in prolific form in the ongoing IPL. Apart from Rahane, KL Rahul also makes a come back to the squad after being stripped of vice captaincy.

The team will be captained by Rohit Sharma and have the likes of Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara in their set up.

The WTC final will be played between June 7 – 11 at the Oval, with a reserve day on June 12.

The spin attack comprises of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel, while Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj will be leading the pace attack. Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah continuous to remain in the sidelines due to back injury.

KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL and the World Test Championship final in June against Australia due to thigh injury and will be replaced by Ishan Kishan

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been drafted as a stand by player in the India squad for the upcoming World Test Championship final in place of Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is getting married on June 3.
