Left arm seamer Mitchell Starc claimed 5/53 as Australia mauled India by 10 wickets in the second one day international at Visakapatnam on Sunday.
After being asked to bat first, India were rocked early as Shubman Gill slashed a full delivery from Starc straight to Marnus Labuschagne at point.
Skipper Rohit Sharma (13) chased at a wide delivery from the left-arm seamer and was caught by his opposite number Steve Smith at slip.
Suryakumar Yadav was then trapped leg before wicket by Starc for the second consecutive time in the series for a golden duck. KL Rahul, the hero of the first game, departed cheaply for 9- another batsman falling victim to the Starc in-swinger.
The hosts slumped even further when Smith pulled off a spectacular one handed catch at slip to send back Hardik Pandya leaving them in massive trouble at 49/5.
The pair of Virat Kohli along with Ravindra Jadeja tried to anchor the innings with a 22 run stand for the sixth wicket before the former perished to Ellis for 31, trapped LBW while trying to play across the line.
Sean Abbott then dismissed both Kuldeep Yadav (4) and Mohammed Shami (0) in successive deliveries as Axar Patel ran out of partners at the other end.
Starc then completed his fifer by castling Mohammed Siraj as India were bundled out for 117 in 26 overs.
In response, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head hammered quickfire fifties as the visitors raced to the target of 118 in just 11 overs.
