India Women’s squad for World Cup 2022 & New Zealand ODIs, T20I

The BCCI on Thursday announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 and also for the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand .Team India will begin their first World Cup fixture against Pakistan on March 6, 2022, at the Bay Oval, Tauranga.

Veteran cricketer Mithali Raj will be leading the side while Harmanpreet Kaur has been named her deputy.

The Board also announced the squad for a one-off T20I match against New Zealand.

The team will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain of the side. The one off T20I match will be played on February 9, while the five one day internationals will take place from February 11 to February 24 respectively.
