India’s test Squad against New Zealand 2021- Ajinkya Rahane to lead in 1st Test

The BCCI announced India’s squad for the upcoming home Test series against New Zealand beginning later this month.

The first Test will be played on November 25 in Kanpur, while the second Test will begin in Mumbai from December 3.

Regular skipper Virat Kohli has been rested only for the first test and will return to lead side the side in the second Test.

Ajinkya Rahane will be captaining the team , while Cheteshwar Pujara will be his deputy.

The likes of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Shardul Thakur have been given a break.

Wriddiman Saha and KS Bharat have been picked as wicketkeepers.

Opener KL Rahul has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against New Zealand due to an injury. Suryakumar Yadav has been named as his replacement.
