Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals 22 September Dubai Match Report 2021

A fine bowling performances from South African pacers Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada helped Delhi complete an easy victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai on Wednesday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first Sunrisers lost David Warner early to Anrich Nortje in the very first over as he got a leading edge and popped a simple catch to Axar Patel at point.

Wriddhiman Saha looked good in his brief stay before he mistimed a Kagiso Rabada delivery pull to Shikhar Dhawan at midwicket for 18.

SRH skipper Kane Williamson who was dropped twice, however failed to capitalise on the opportunity as he was caught at long off by Shimron Hetmyer off Axar for 18.

Manish Pandey also fell cheaply as he ballooned a simple caught and bowled to Rabada.

Abdul Samad (28) and Rashid Khan (22) scored some useful runs in the end to take his side to 134/9 after 20 overs.

Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/37, while Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel claimed 2 wickets each.

Chasing 135, Delhi Capitals lost Prithvi Shaw early in the third over as he was caught brilliantly by Williamson running back from mid-on.

Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer added 52 runs for the second wicket before the former was caught at deep square leg by Samad off Rashid Khan for 42.

Iyer (47)* along with skipper Rishabh Pant (35)* put on an unbeaten 67 run stand for the third wicket to take their side to a comfortable 8 wicket win.

The Capitals reached the target with 13 balls to spare.
