Moeen Ali struck twice in the final session to lift England at the end of Day 4 of the second test against India at Lords on Sunday.
In form KL Rahul had a rare failure as he edged a Mark Wood delivery to Jos Buttler. Rohit Sharma looked in good touch before he pulled a Wood delivery to Ali at deep square leg for 21.
Cheteshwar Pujara along with skipper Kohli added 28 runs for the third wicket before the latter edged a Sam Curran delivery behind the stumps leaving the visitors in a spot of bother at 56/3.
Pujara and vice captain Ajinkya Rahane resurrected the innings with a valuable 100 run stand for the fourth wicket. Rahane on 31 had a lucky escape when Jonny Bairstow spilled a easy catch off Moeen.
Mark Wood finally broke the stand by dismissing Pujara with a ball that bounced sharply and took an edge to Joe Root at second slip.
The 34 year old Ali pegged the visitors back by dismissing the well set Rahane and all rounder Ravindra Jadeja for 61 & 3 respectively.
Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma headed back to the pavilion with bad light ending Day 4 at 181/6, with an overall lead of 154.
