The BCCI re-appointed Ramesh Pawar as the head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team on Thursday.
The 42-year-old will replace WV Raman, who was appointed the head coach of the women’s team in December 2018. Pawar recently led Mumbai men’s team to the 2021 Vijay Hazare trophy.
During Raman’s tenure, India reached the finals of the T-20 World cup in 2020, but went down to Australia in the finals.
The first assignment of the newly re appointed coach will be the England tour where India women will play one off Test in Bristol beginning in June 16, followed by 3 ODI’S and an equal number of T20 internationals.
