Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders 13 April Chennai Match Report 2021

Rahul Chahar claimed four wickets as Mumbai Indians registered a stunning 10 run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.

After being sent in by KKR skipper, Mumbai Indians lost Quinton de Kock early to Varun Chakravarthy. Rohit Sharma along with Suryakumar Yadav added 76 runs for the second wicket before the latter was caught by Shubman Gill off Shakib Al Hasan for a well made 56.

Pat Cummins picked up the wickets of Ishan Kishan and then cleaned up Rohit Sharma off a slower delivery in the 16th over.

Andre Russell claimed his maiden five wicket haul as Mumbai Indians collapsed from 125 for 5 to 152 all out.

Chasing 153, Knight Riders opening pair of Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana got their team off to a fantastic start. The duo added 72 runs for the first wicket before Gill was caught at long off by Pollard off Rahul Chahar for 33.

Chahar brought Mumbai Indians back into the contest by claiming the wickets of Rahul Tripathi , Eoin Morgan and the
prize wicket of the dangerous Rana.

Russell was let off twice before Trent Boult sealed the game by having the West Indian all-rounder caught off his own bowling in the final over. In the next ball, Pat Cummins was cleaned up by a brilliant yorker as KKR ended up with 142/7 after 20 overs giving the defending champions MI a 10 run win.

Rahul Chahar was declared the Man of the Match.
