Sri Lanka vs South Africa 5th ODI Match Preview-2018

The Proteas having won the One Day Series, suffered a jolt in the fourth ODI when they were beaten by Lankans by 3 runs in a truncated game at Kandy on 8 August 2018.

Having already lost the ODI Series 3-0, the visitors made a strong comeback by winning the dead rubber game.

They would be going into the final ODI with full of confidence and momentum.

Quinton De Kock will continue his leadership for this game as well, following the injury to their regular skipper Faf Du Plessis, who has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury.

Victory for the home side will give them the momentum going into the one off T-20

With the series already in the pocket, the team management would continue to test the bench strength.

Kagiso Rabada is likely to be rested yet again.

The talented Aiden Markram who was dropped after the first two ODIs, following his poor form would be looking to get an opportunity and finish on a high note.
