New Zealand skipper and star batsman Kane Williamson has been appointed as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2018.
He was replaced by David Warner who stepped down recently for his role in the ball tampering scandal in the third Test between Australia and South Africa in Cape Town.
Warner, who was banned by Cricket Australia for a year will not feature in the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad as the ban automatically rules him out of the tournament.
His absence is a huge blow to SRH, as southpaw has led the team with the bat, by scoring 2579 runs in 59 innings at an average of 52.63 and a strike rate of 147.70.
He also Led Sunrisers Hyderabad to IPL glory in the year 2016.
