Answers

1 Sanjiv Goenka- The Pune franchise is owned by Sanjiv Goenka, the younger son of legendary industrialist RP Goenka

2 Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions

3 Sunrisers Hyderabad- They truly represented the gentleman’s game in this edition.

4 Gujarat Lions- The pre-tournament IPL predictions didn’t have them as favourites, but the Rajkot based franchise stunned one and all by topping the table. They picked up 18 points, more than any other team, but unfortunately came up short in the playoffs, losing twice to bow out of the tournament

5 Mustafizur Rahman- The Bangladeshi pacer was excellent for SRH, picking up 17 wickets at a miserly economy rate of just 6.90- absolutely stunning numbers in this format.

6. Brad Hodge- Australian coaches have been in high demand in the IPL, and Gujarat were no different, opting for Brad Hodge.

7. Sunrisers Hyderabad– Rarely do you see a winner from a team not placed 1 or 2, but Sunrisers did it the hard way, and were deserving champions at the end.

8. Virat Kohli- 973 runs at an average of 81.08 and a SR of over 150- this was a special, special IPL for the RCB captain. Four hundreds and seven fifties as well for him.

9. RCB- despite Kohli’s heroics, RCB had to settle for second spot. When will the likes of Kohli and AB finally get their hands on a IPL trophy?
