South Africa vs Australia Final Attendance 12,782 T20 Women’s World Cup Newlands Cape Town February 26

A record crowd of 12,782– the highest attendance ever for a women’s cricket match in South Africa, turned up at Newlands but saw the Proteas Ladies go down to defending champions Australia.

Australia opted to bat first and reached 156/6 in their allotted 20 overs. In the chase, Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt, the key players in the semi-final win over England, only managed 22 in the first six overs. From then on, scoreboard pressure did the rest, and despite a brief period in the chase when Wolvaard and Chloe Tryon got together and reduced the equation to 59 off 5 overs, Australia were always ahead of the game and won by 19 runs at the end.

The fan turnout was well above the SA v England semifinal attendance and SA Bangladesh final group game crowd at the same venue.

New Mumbai Indians WPL Jersey 2023 | First ever MI Women’s IPL Kit Lotus Herbals Shirt Sponsor

This is the new MI WPL jersey 2023, the first ever shirt to be worn by Mumbai Indians Women in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL/WIPL) T20 season. The new MI WIPL shirt was officially unveiled on 25 February, 2022 by the franchise.

The new MI Women’s T20 shirt is blue in colour, as you’d expect from Mumbai Indians. The uniform has orange & gold detailing on the sides and has Lotus Herbals as its primary kit sponsor. Other brands seen on the jersey include Tata Capital (front) and Dream 11 (Sleeve). Sonata Software will also be MI’s sleeve sponsor while Ashok Leyland will serve as the back of the shirt sponsor.

India Women vs Australia Ladies Semifinal T20 World Cup 2023 February Cape Town Match Report 2023

Harmanpreet Kaur’s magnificent half century went in vain as India Women went down by 5 runs to Australia in the first semi final of the T20 World Cup at Newlands in Cape Town on Thursday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, openers Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney got Australia off to a solid start. The pair added 52 runs for the opening wicket before Radha Yadav broke the partnership by dismissing Healy (25), stumped by wicket keeper Richa Ghosh.

Meg Lanning got a reprieve on 1 when wicket-keeper Ghosh failed to hold on to a catch off Sneh Rana. In the very next over Shafali Verma also dropped a relatively simple catch at long on offered by Mooney on 32 (off the bowling of Radha)

However Shafali finally managed to hold on to a catch by dismissing the well-set Mooney off Shikha Pandey for 54, but the damage had been done by then, with the southpaw’s acceleration having set the stage for a strong finish. List of WPL Fixtures 2023- Women’s Premier League Schedule 2023

The BCCI announced their schedule for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League 2023 beginning later next month.
