France opener Gustav McKeon became the youngest player to score a T20I hundred , by scoring a scintillating 61-ball 109 against Switzerland on Monday. His knock comprised off five fours and nine sixes.


He achieved this feat against Switzerland in Vantaa during the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier tournament in Finland.
Notably, McKeon also became the first French player to score a hundred at the age of 18 years and 280 days. In the process he broke the record of Afghanistani opener Hazratullah Zazai, who scored a brilliant unbeaten 162 off 62 balls against Ireland in 2019 at 20 years and 337 days.
France’s next game will be against Norway, in Kerava on Wednesday.
